Queso Diego April Meeting Announcement

Hello Queso Diegans,

April is National Grilled Cheese Month and we at Queso Diego really know how to celebrate.
It is time again for our popular Gourmet Grilled Cheese Meeting!

Bring everything you need to make gourmet grilled cheeses to share with the club.

It is suggested to label you items and to bring some electric skillets, pannini presses, irons, and whatever might help us grill up an epic amount of grilled cheeses in shorter window of time. Farmer Bill Tall only has so many burners.

If you want to know what to expect, check out some handy photos of Grilled Cheese Meeting April 2013 found in my March 2015 “Intro To Grilled Cheese”.

Sharing is Caring.
As always, bringing delicious side dishes and beverages is always promoted.

Its also recommend bringing your tasting glasses to cut down on those pesky plastic cups (and making trash).

The meeting will be held at 6:30pm on Tues, April 21st at City Farmers Nursery (http://www.cityfarmersnursery.com). Map of parking and the meeting location: https://quesodiego.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/City-Farmers-Map.jpg

Nate’s Garden Grill on the grounds of City Farmers Nursery is now open, so consider stopping by to grab a beer before or after the meeting. They have a great menu of fresh, local food and an extensive draft beer list.

Please RSVP using the link below as soon as possible so that we can get an accurate head count:

Queso Diego March Meeting Announcement

Hello Queso Diegans,

Do you want to learn how simple it can be to start making cheeses at home?

Tuesday’s Meeting topic will be “Cheesy, Soft and Easy” presented by our own Dr. Laura Hershey.

Dr. Laura will be bringing:
Chevre,Ricotta from Ricky Carroll’s book, and Serendipity; a cheese that happened when she abandoned raw goat milk in the back of her refrigerator for 3 weeks.

These cheese are all made from Goats Milk!
I can’t wait to try ’em.

This feature presentation will teach you how to make these
easy cheeses.
Easy means no aging.
Easy means no brining.
These easy cheeses have a very high success rate.
Good for beginners.

In addition, there will be a Grilled Cheese Teaser presented by
yours truly.

Queso Diego February 2015 Meeting Announcement

Hello Queso Diegans,

After 2 amazing QD parties in December and January, we are back at our homebase of City Farmers Nursery for our February meeting.

Tuesday’s Meeting topic will be “Other than Cheese Ferments” presented by our own Larry Stein.

Come and learn about Kefir, Greek Yogurt, Kombucha, Jun, and More. Learn easy ways you can make these in your own kitchen.

Larry has been hard at work on crafting these “other than cheese ferments” in his home kitchen and will have a variety of samples to share. There might even be some cultures to take home (well, if you promise to bring some back to share of course). 😉

Since many of these are liquid samples, I’d recommend bringing your tasting glass to cut down on those pesky plastic cups (and trash).

Sharing is Caring. As always, bringing delicious things to share is always promoted.

The meeting will be held at 6:30pm on Tues, February 17th at City Farmers Nursery (http://www.cityfarmersnursery.com). Map of parking and the meeting location: https://quesodiego.org/?attachment_id=453
