Queso Diego August Meeting Announcement

Hello Queso Diegans,

Our next meeting Curt Witenberg will be presenting Hommage à Fromage: The Cheese of France

We will have the opportunity to learn about History, Regionality, Character, Pairings, and French Cheese Recipes. All this while tasting some delicious French cheeses.

It is sure to be yet another awesome Queso Diego meeting.

Our next meeting topic will be running a retail Cheese Shop in San Diego presented by our supportive friends at Brothers Provisions. Discussions will range: the reason for opening it, what makes them unique, day to day operations, popular cheeses, and pairings. There is rumor that they will bringing a special treat for our club. –You’ll just have to wait and see what that could be.

This is sure to be another awesome Queso Diego meeting.

Queso Diego June Meeting Announcement

For June, Queso Diego’s own, Jeffree Itrich will be presenting “Queso de la Aldea.” Short translation: Village Cheese, which is the quintessential essence of Spanish cheese.

There will be plenty of delicious samples and education of all things Spanish Cheese.

Queso Diego May Meeting Announcement

Hello Queso Diegans,

May’s meeting topic will be Homemade Show & Tell of your cheeses and dairy fermentations. Bring any homemade cheeses and dairy fermentations to share and talk about at this meeting.

On the heels of our sucessful Grilled Cheese April meeting, this will be a similar relaxed group sharing style activity. It is a good idea to bring a little label with your name and what you have created. You might even write recipes on there.

Homemade sharing will enter you into a raffle with some great prizes for your efforts.

This meeting will also afford us all the opportunity to ask questions on making cheeses at home. In a new, “Curders Corner”.

Queso Diego April Meeting Announcement

Hello Queso Diegans,

April is National Grilled Cheese Month and we at Queso Diego really know how to celebrate.
It is time again for our popular Gourmet Grilled Cheese Meeting!

Bring everything you need to make gourmet grilled cheeses to share with the club.

It is suggested to label you items and to bring some electric skillets, pannini presses, irons, and whatever might help us grill up an epic amount of grilled cheeses in shorter window of time. Farmer Bill Tall only has so many burners.

Queso Diego March Meeting Announcement

Hello Queso Diegans,

Do you want to learn how simple it can be to start making cheeses at home?

Tuesday’s Meeting topic will be “Cheesy, Soft and Easy” presented by our own Dr. Laura Hershey.

Dr. Laura will be bringing:
Chevre,Ricotta from Ricky Carroll’s book, and Serendipity; a cheese that happened when she abandoned raw goat milk in the back of her refrigerator for 3 weeks.

These cheese are all made from Goats Milk!
I can’t wait to try ’em.

This feature presentation will teach you how to make these
easy cheeses.
Easy means no aging.
Easy means no brining.
These easy cheeses have a very high success rate.
Good for beginners.

In addition, there will be a Grilled Cheese Teaser presented by
yours truly.
